The Experience: Twenty-two years as a psychotherapist and Meditation & Mindfulness instructor, also teaching Stress-Anxiety Management at Kaiser Permanente Psychiatry; past experience as an Associate Clinical Supervisor leading multiple community service-based agencies; also training as an in-patient Mental Health Counselor; currently, teaching and counseling students as Adjunct Faculty at a local college. The Therapist (About me): I come from a multi-cultural background –mother from North Africa; father from West Asia/Eastern Europe; myself raised in South America. I have native fluency of both English and Spanish and working knowledge of Portuguese. My therapeutic work is deeply influenced by the intersection of religious studies and psychology; I have a passion for the arts and the humanities --poetry/literature; anthropology; Eastern and Western philosophy; the sciences; theater/film; social/racial justice; environmental/climate concerns and commitments; meditation, yoga, healthy living and the value of family, friendship, community, and being of service.
